Technology: Students build technology skills by using department systems, software, digital tools, equipment, or university platforms to complete tasks accurately and efficiently. Communication: Students build communication skills by practicing clear, respectful, and professional verbal, written, and interpersonal communication in a workplace setting. Essential Duties & Responsibilities In charge of proof reading all articles that will run in The Xavierite publication and on the official website following the AP style. Proof reads rough draft tear sheets of the newspaper and magazine Assists staffers with writing and style of article when necessary Informs Editor-in-Chief when stories are not turned in on time Attend general staff meetings Maintain weekly-posted office hours in The Xavierite office (5 hours per week). Checks and edits content for accuracy of style throughout the entire paper and E-magazine Checks for libelous and litigious statements. Qualifications

MUST BE A STUDENT AT SAINT XAVIER UNIVERSITY

Must be Federal Work Study Eligible Must Include a Resume and Cover Letter Preference in journalism, communication, or English.
