Phlebotomist

Job Location & Schedule 3711 Long Beach Blvd Ste110, Long Beach, CA 90807 Work Schedule: Monday through Friday 8:00 am – 5:00 pm, with rotating Saturdays. Job Summary Labcorp is seeking a phlebotomist to work in a Patient Service Center or Client office. The role involves providing exceptional customer service, performing skilled specimen collections, and representing the company. Responsibilities Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups. Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests, etc. Perform data entry of patient information accurately and promptly. Process billing information and collect payments when required. Prepare all collected specimens for testing and analysis. Maintain patient and specimen information logs. Provide superior customer service to all patients. Perform administrative and clerical duties as necessary. Travel to additional sites when needed. Minimum Qualifications High school diploma or GED or equivalent. California state issued Phlebotomy license (CPT). Preferred Qualifications At least 1 year of experience as a phlebotomist. Current or prior experience at LabCorp. Additional Requirements Application for a phlebotomy license filed with the CA Department of Health at time of hire may satisfy the state license requirement. Bilingual proficiency in Spanish and English. Ability to pass a standardized color blindness test. Flexibility to work overtime as needed. Exceptional customer service skills. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Ability to work independently or in a team environment. Comfortable working under minimal supervision. Reliable transportation. Compensation Pay Range: $21.00 - $33.00 per hour. Quarterly Incentive Bonus Program: PSTs may be eligible for a quarterly bonus based on performance metrics.
