Travel Registered Nurse Outpatient Job

Overview
Registered Nurse – Outpatient, travel assignment in California. Start date: September 28, 2026. Duration: 13 weeks. Weekly pay: $1,882–$1,978 per week. Guaranteed hours: 40 per week. Shift: 4x10-hour days; typical hours 7:00 AM–5:30 PM with start times may vary slightly based on case volume (5:30 AM–11:00 AM). This position supports a short-term acute care hospital in an outpatient surgery and endoscopy setting.

Responsibilities
- Deliver direct nursing care for patients undergoing outpatient procedures and endoscopy, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of care.
- Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesia team, and other disciplines to coordinate care and maintain a safe, healing environment.
- Manage preoperative assessments and PACU Phase II care, monitor sedation/analgesia, monitor vital signs, and ensure patient safety and comfort.
- Administer medications per plan, document in the electronic health record, and respond to changes in patient status with appropriate interventions.
- Provide patient and family education, participate in discharge planning, and ensure continuity of care across transitions.
- Supervise and delegate tasks to ancillary staff as appropriate, while adhering to clinical policies and maintaining high standards of infection control.

Requirements
- Active RN license in the state of practice (California)
- BLS required; CPR certification accepted per policy; AHA-PALS or ARC-PALS required; AHA-ACLS or ARC-ALS required
- Minimum 2 years of recent nursing experience in outpatient/perioperative or endoscopy settings
- Endoscopy experience strongly preferred; comfortable with preop and PACU Phase II workflows
- Experience with moderate sedation and rapid patient turnover is a plus
- EPIC experience required
- BSN preferred
- Ability to work in a fast-paced outpatient surgery/endoscopy environment and meet on-site credentialing requirements
