About the Opportunity:

A leading national law firm is seeking Commercial Litigation Attorney to join its growing litigation practice in Portland, Oregon.

This opportunity is ideal for attorneys with experience handling complex construction disputes and related civil litigation matters.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage Civil Litigation Attorney matters from inception through resolution.
• Develop case strategy and evaluate liability and exposure.
• Handle pleadings, discovery, motion practice, depositions, hearings, mediations, and trial preparation.
• Draft complaints, answers, motions, briefs, discovery responses, and other litigation documents.
• Conduct legal research and factual investigation.
• Analyze construction contracts, project documents, and related claims.
• Work with clients, experts, opposing counsel, and other stakeholders.
• Take and defend depositions.
• Participate in hearings, mediations, arbitrations, and trials as needed.
• Independently manage multiple matters and deadlines.

Qualifications:

• Experience in Commercial litigation/General liability preferred.
• Strong legal research, writing, analytical, and advocacy skills.
• Experience with discovery, motion practice, depositions, and hearings.
• Ability to independently manage litigation matters.
• Strong communication and client-management skills.
• Active Oregon Bar license.
