Nurse Practitioner

Shift Overview Provider needed to cover 14 shifts a month (12‑hour shifts) with a Tuesday–Monday work schedule. Both day and night shift coverage required. Shift times: Day Shift 6 am–6 pm, Night Shift 6 pm–6 am. Typical shift pattern: 7 day shifts followed by 7 days off, then 7 night shifts (not always strict, but common). Provider will not be able to start until privilege process of 60‑90 days is completed. Responsibilities Admissions and discharges Run codes Perform procedures: intubation, central line, dialysis line, arterial line (number of procedures may vary from none to 2–3 per week) Communicate with internal floors and transfer teams Collaborate with physicians—day shift presence or phone availability; night shift physician available by phone Qualifications Acute Care Nurse Practitioner (ACNP) license, with active Texas license and TX DEA approval 1–2 years of experience preferred; training available for short experience Experience in Neuro‑ICU (neurology/neurosurgery) is a bonus BLS and ACLS certifications required Compensation & Logistics Guaranteed hours: 12 per day.
