The Well Done New Mexico LLC Construction Manager is responsible for overseeing industry and environmental best practices and company policies at orphan well plugging sites in the Deep Fork National Wildlife Refuge in Okmulgee, Oklahoma, ensuring compliance with company standards and policies, Refuge regulations, and implementing sustainable practices to protect the environment.

Role Overview

The Construction Manager is responsible for planning, coordinating, and executing construction activities that support orphan well plugging operations throughout the Deep Fork Project. This includes site access, access road construction, well pad preparation, erosion control, restoration, and other construction activities before and after plugging operations.

Working closely with the Operations Manager, plugging crews, environmental staff, contractors, landowners, and other project team members, you will help ensure projects are completed safely, efficiently, on schedule, and in compliance with project requirements.

This is a hands-on field leadership position. While you will coordinate contractors and construction activities, you will also be expected to assist with field construction and equipment operation when needed. The ideal candidate enjoys solving problems in the field, adapting to changing conditions, and working as part of a small, collaborative team.

This role requires extensive fieldwork throughout the Deep Fork National Wildlife Refuge. Candidates should be comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions and varying terrain. Physical demands include walking on uneven ground, standing for extended periods, lifting and carrying materials and equipment, and performing other physical tasks associated with construction and field operations.

This position is designated as safety-sensitive and requires successful completion of a background check and pre-employment drug screening.

 

Qualifications

·       Five (5) years of experience in heavy construction, site development, oil and gas, environmental remediation, or similar field operations.

·       Experience coordinating field activities and operating construction equipment.

·       High school diploma or GED required.

·       Valid driver's license with a satisfactory driving record.

·       Ability to work safely outdoors in varying weather, terrain, and remote field conditions.

Skills & Attributes

·       Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.

·       Mechanical aptitude with working knowledge of construction methods, heavy equipment, site preparation, grading, erosion control, and access road construction. Ability to read construction drawings, maps, and project specifications.

·       Self-motivated and comfortable working independently or as part of a small team.

·       Willingness to perform both supervisory and hands-on construction duties.

·       Commitment to safety, environmental stewardship, and quality workmanship.

Compensation

This is a salaried position, and compensation will be set depending on experience and demonstrated acumen. The successful candidate be provided with a company vehicle.

Work Schedule

This position typically works Monday through Friday with weekends and federal holidays off.
