At Creative Environments, our Sales Designers do more than create beautiful outdoor spaces. They combine creativity, consultative sales, relationship-building, and project ownership to guide clients from the first “What if?” to the final “This is exactly what I imagined.” 

This is a unique opportunity for someone who loves design and people, has a natural ability to sell a vision, and wants to see their work become reality. You won’t simply design a project and hand it off. You’ll build the relationship, guide the decisions, own your book of business, collaborate with the teams bringing the vision to life, and stay connected through completion.  

What You’ll Do 

CREATE | Bring the Vision to Life 

Great outdoor environments begin with understanding how a client wants to live. 

• Lead thoughtful discovery conversations to understand each client’s lifestyle, vision, preference, budget, property, and goals.  
• Transform ideas and inspiration into visually compelling, marketable, and buildable outdoor environments. 
• Balance creativity with constructability, project scope, budget, site conditions, and financial considerations. 
• Guide the selection of materials, fixtures, finishes, and design elements that align with the approved design intent.  
• Create clear design documentation and selections that are complete and feasible before construction handoff. 
• Stay current on outdoor living trends, materials, products, and design possibilities that enhance the client experience. 

SELL | Turn Possibility Into Action 

You’re not simply presenting a design – you’re helping clients confidently make an important investment in their home and lifestyle. 

• Lead consultative client conversations from discovery through design presentation, proposal and contract. 
• Present concepts with confidence while clearly communicating value, benefits, and Creative Environments’ differentiators. 
• Help clients navigate decisions, questions, priorities, and expectations with clarity and expertise. 
• Develop compelling client-facing presentations and materials that bring the vision and value proposition to life.  
• Maintain consistent, purposeful follow-up and create clear next steps throughout the decision process. 
• Build trusted client relationships that generate referrals, repeat opportunities, and strong personal portfolio. 
• Create long-term relationships that generate referrals, repeat business, and a strong personal portfolio. 

OWN | Be Accountable for the Experience 

At Creative Environments, ownership doesn’t end when the client says “yes.” 

• Serve as a trusted advisor to your clients throughout the entire experience. 
• Stay ahead of client expectations, project milestones, communication needs, and outstanding decisions. 
• Maintain strong organization across multiple clients, design, deadlines, and active projects. 
• Maintain an accurate, actionable pipeline and document client interactions, commitments, opportunities, and next steps within the Salesforce. 
• Support invoicing and collections milestones by proactively preparing clients and maintaining clear communication. 

DELIVER | Protect What Was Promised 

A great design is only successful when the finished environment reflects the vision the client purchased. 

• Stay connected to your projects while managing expectations from concept-design-contract-construction-completion. 
• Collaborate closely with Construction, Operations, and other internal and external partners to ensure alignment between design intent and field execution. 
• Participate in site visits and mandatory milestone walks to review progress, answer questions, and maintain alignment. 
• Proactively identify potential design or execution issues and work collaboratively to resolve them before they negatively impact the client experience. 
• Help ensure the finished project reflects both the client’s vision and the Creative Environments standard of craftsmanship.

• Are comfortable using or learning technology such as Salesforce and Procore.

Relevant experience may come from luxury sales, outdoor living, pool or landscape design, interior design, home improvement, architecture, real estate, hospitality, or another high-touch client environment.

We design, construct, and maintain award winning projects in both commercial and residential applications throughout Arizona (Greater Phoenix area, Tucson, Sedona, Northern AZ). Our work has also extended into the East Bay of California (San Francisco/Oakland/Orinda), Southern California (Encinitas/Del Mar/Malibu), Hawaii (Kauai), Costa Rica, Cabo San Lucas, and elsewhere!
