Vascular TechnologistWe are seeking a skilled Vascular Technologist to join our Vascular Surgery team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for performing vascular exams and preparing preliminary reports for vascular surgeons, recognizing critical findings, and reporting them to the team as appropriate. This role requires a high level of proficiency in scanning various vascular pathologies and the ability to research patient histories prior to examinations.Key ResponsibilitiesPerform vascular exams including ABI, carotid, upper and lower arterial duplex, and venous duplex studies.Prepare preliminary reports for vascular surgeons.Recognize and report critical findings promptly.Maintain a clean and organized workspace.Review surgical history and previous scans to identify significant changes or critical findings.Unit InformationThis position is within a dedicated Vascular department featuring 3 vascular rooms, with an average of 7-12 providers including vascular surgeons and advanced practice providers. The department sees approximately 9 studies per day, typically involving complex patients.QualificationsMinimum of 2 years of experience as a Vascular Technologist.Proficient in scanning complex vascular pathologies, including those with surgical corrections such as angioplasty and stent placements.Proficient in scanning fistulas and dialysis access grafts.Required certifications: BLS Certification and Registered Vascular Technologist (RVT) via ARDMS.Additional InformationShift: 7 AM – 5:30 PMGuaranteed Hours: 40 hours per weekShifts & Scheduling: Five 8-hour shifts OR four 10-hour shiftsWeekend and Holiday Requirements: NoFloating Requirements: NoneDress Code: Scrubs, any professional colorTechnology UsedElectronic Medical Records: EpicPACS: SectraIf you are a dedicated Vascular Technologist looking to advance your career in a dynamic and supportive environment, we encourage you to apply.
