About This Role

For over five decades, medical professionals from our health system have collaborated to establish a heart and vascular program renowned for its exceptional quality, outstanding outcomes, and innovative cardiovascular treatments. This unique clinical alliance has led to the creation of a premier Heart and Vascular program that caters to patients across the Rocky Mountain region.

As a Cardiothoracic Surgeon, you will collaborate with two other surgeons and four Advanced Practitioners to deliver exceptional care and enhance patient experiences. Here are some key aspects of the position:

• Practice at a prominent hospital located in downtown Denver, CO.
• The hospital has received a perfect score of 3-out-of-3 stars from the Society of Thoracic Surgeons (STS) for patient care and outcomes in coronary artery bypass graft surgery (CABG) and aortic valve replacement (AVR), and is well-regarded for mitral valve replacement/repair (MVRR).
• Participate in Q3 call at a single hospital (Advanced Practitioners also take Q4 floor/ICU/practice/OR call).
• Join a well-established CT practice with strong collaborative relationships and referral patterns.
• Benefit from full ICU support with an excellent team of Intensivists available 24/7.
• Engage in a busy Structural Heart Program, which has the highest volume of Mitraclips in the state, along with two ongoing structural heart trials and Evoque implantation.
• Be part of a dedicated shock program as an ECMO site.
• Our Medical Group is physician-led, supported by a larger hospital system.

How We Will Support You

• Compensation: We offer a competitive salary starting at $800,000, along with a wRVU bonus incentive. Additionally, you can earn up to a $75,000 annual quality bonus and a $25,000 signing bonus. A relocation bonus may also be available if applicable.

What You Will Bring

We value individuals, not just qualifications on paper. However, we do expect excellence, which is why we require:

• MD/DO degree.
• An unrestricted medical license in Colorado or the ability to obtain one.
• Board Certification in Cardiothoracic Surgery.
• DEA certification.
• A minimum of five years of experience.
• A proactive approach to program development in CV surgery, or an interest in specializing in areas such as thoracic surgery, minimally invasive mitral valve procedures, or a significant ECMO focus.

The hourly compensation for this position ranges as follows. Actual hourly rate will depend on experience: $7.25 - $999.99.
