Occupational Therapist Position

Intermediate District 287 is looking for full-time and part-time occupational therapists for the 2026-2027 school year with itinerant services!

Intermediate District 287 serves students in grades K-12, as well as transition age students (18-22 years old), from our 12 member districts in the west metro area. Our district offers a wide range of services and specialized programs, primarily focused on setting IV special education, that is designed to meet the diverse needs of our students.

Position details:

• Provide occupational therapy services that include improving, developing, or restoring skills which will enable students to move toward independent functioning regarding physical, mental, emotional, and educational goals.
• Support students in their least restrictive educational setting.
• Support staff in evaluation, program planning, and environmental issues.

We have part-time and full-time positions available!

This position is part of the Local 2209 contract and follows Salary Schedule A.

• Salary is based on Local 2209 Salary Schedule A: $51,349 - $101,853 (depending on experience and education)

Requirements:

• Interested in candidates who are: diverse, bilingual, or have experience working with diverse populations
• Master's degree in occupational therapy from an accredited college or university
• Licensed by the Minnesota Department of Health as an occupational therapist
• National board of certified occupational therapist (NBCOT) designation
• Previous experience, fieldwork, or internship in pediatric or developmental occupational therapy, preferred
