Make a remarkable impact as a school-based Occupational Therapist in an educational setting near Minneapolis, MN! This rewarding, contract opportunity offers a chance to provide direct support and therapy to students, supporting their growth and success throughout the academic year.
This position includes two full-time roles and one long-term substitute assignment (exact sub dates to be determined), all starting on September 8, 2026, and continuing through June 10, 2027. You’ll work a consistent 37.5-hour week, maintaining a manageable caseload of 20-40 students in a specialized setting focused on supporting learners with higher-level needs.
What you’ll bring:
- Current Occupational Therapist license, eligible for school-based practice
- Experience working with pediatric or school-aged individuals, preferably in a special education or educational environment
- Strong ability to collaborate with teachers, staff, and families to create and implement individualized intervention plans
- Excellent documentation, organizational, and communication skills
- Flexibility and adaptability to work well within a single building, with commitment to one education center
Your responsibilities:
- Deliver direct and consultative OT services to students according to their Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Collaborate with educators, special education teams, and parents to optimize student outcomes
- Conduct assessments and contribute to meetings regarding student progress
- Maintain accurate and timely records, documentation, and reporting
- Support a positive and inclusive learning environment for all students
