Human Resources Manager

Mistral is seeking a seasoned individual to serve as the Human Resources Manager. This is a full-time, on-site position at our Bethesda, MD headquarters, reporting directly to our Chief Operating Officer. Duties and Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Oversee the full employee lifecycle, including recruitment, onboarding, performance reviews, and offboarding. In this role, the Human Resources Manager will also be responsible for overseeing and administering the training of new hires. Ensure proper record keeping, facilitate company-wide communication, and assist with wage and salary administration. Manage the company’s leave of absence and workplace accommodation requests. With the assistance of Company’s in-house counsel, maintain and update HR policies, procedures, and employee handbook in compliance with legal and regulatory requirements. The Human Resources Manager will also be responsible for ensuring company-wide compliance with established personnel policies and procedures and will act in concert with the management team as directed to enforce personnel policies and procedures. Serve as the point of contact for employee relations issues, providing guidance and ensuring fair resolution. With the assistance of Mistral’s accounting team, manage benefits administration, payroll coordination, and employee records. Benefits administration includes, but is not limited to, managing the logistics for open enrollment activities, including employee education sessions. The Human Resources Representative will also be responsible for overseeing benefit plan communications and ensuring employees’ questions and matters are handled quickly and effectively. Ensure compliance with labor laws, EEO regulations, and workplace safety standards. Develop and implement HR strategies aligned with organizational goals.
