Associate Director, Global Oncology Insights and Engagement
Merck
Associate Director role leading global oncology marketing insights and analytics within Merck's commercial team. Develops data-driven strategic insights for oncology asset launches, orchestrates cross-functional analytics delivery, and may lead a small global team of analysts and specialists.
Responsibilities
- Serve as strategic thought partner and primary contact for Global Oncology Marketing team on insights and analytics
- Translate business priorities into structured analytical plans; analyze disparate data sources to generate actionable market insights
- Develop commercial insight strategy and roadmap; apply advanced methodologies including AI to enhance efficiency
- Quarterback end-to-end delivery of analytics, insights, and digital products across internal teams and functions
- Lead and mentor team of analysts; foster culture of innovation and continuous improvement in analytics capabilities
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in data science, mathematics, statistics, economics, computer science, or related scientific/commercial discipline
- Five or more years of experience in marketing analytics, data insights, forecasting, or pharmaceutical strategy
- Advanced proficiency with data analysis, statistical modeling, and translating complex analytics for business stakeholders
- Experience coordinating cross-functional teams and managing analytics project delivery
- Strong understanding of pharmaceutical commercial operations and market dynamics
- Familiarity with multiple data sources including claims, epidemiology, and EMR databases
