Ohio’s Hospice is seeking a caring, dependable Personal Care Specialist to provide hands-on support to patients receiving hospice services. In this meaningful role, you’ll work closely with patients, families, and members of the hospice care team to promote comfort, independence, and dignity throughout each patient’s care journey.

This is a field-based position , with visits taking place in patients’ homes and care facilities throughout the Columbus service area.

Position Details

• Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:30 a.m.–4:30 p.m.
• Weekend Coverage: One rotating weekend assignment approximately every six weeks
• Holiday Coverage: Two required holidays per year as part of the rotating holiday schedule
• Service Area: There is 1 role covering Pataska, the other 2 cover Franklin County. 

Because this position involves travel throughout the service area, reliable transportation and a valid Ohio driver’s license are required.

What You’ll Bring

• High school diploma or GED
• Certified Nurse Aide (CNA) credential preferred; qualified candidates may receive training
• CHPNA certification is a plus. Ohio’s Hospice encourages and supports eligible employees interested in pursuing hospice and palliative care certification.
• Comfortable using computers and electronic medical record systems to accurately document patient care
• Valid Ohio driver’s license, good driving history, and current automobile insurance
• Ability to successfully complete required background screening and 10-panel drug screening
