Job DescriptionJob Title: Weld Seibi Technician\nLocation: Georgetown, KY 40324\nWork arrangement: Onsite\nDuration: 12 Months (Possible Extension/Conversion)\nEmployment Type: Contract\nDomain: Automotive\nShift: Monday–Friday, Standard Shift\nPay rate: $41/hr on W2\nApplication deadline: Sept 24, 2026\n\nMust Haves:\nhands-on technical or manufacturing background with experience working around robotics, welding equipment, production equipment, or manufacturing engineering and is comfortable with troubleshooting, equipment installation, programming, and supporting new-model launches.\n\nJob Summary:\nWe are seeking a Weld Seibi Technician to support new-model chassis and welding equipment projects. This role will be responsible for robot programming, equipment setup and validation, troubleshooting, and supporting manufacturing production launches.\n\nKey Responsibilities:\n\n Perform offline and/or online robot programming.\n Inspect, prepare, and validate new or modified welding and chassis equipment.\n Confirm equipment meets required standards and performs as intended.\n Support equipment preparation and installation at vendor locations.\n Support Body/Chassis Seibi activities from equipment installation through start of production.\n Assist with troubleshooting and resolution of equipment and production issues.\n Communicate effectively with Seibi team members, project leaders, management, vendors, and other stakeholders.\n Participate in hands-on training and provide On-the-Job Training (OJT) to team members.\n Support chassis and welding equipment projects at manufacturing plants and supplier locations.\n Follow standardized work and maintain a strong focus on Safety, Quality, Productivity, and Cost.\n Participate in continuous improvement and Kaizen activities.\n\n\nRequired Qualifications:\n\n 1–6 years of relevant technical, manufacturing, production engineering, welding, robotics, or equipment experience.\n High School Diploma or equivalent.\n Technical/manufacturing background preferred.\n Ability to perform hands-on equipment setup, inspection, troubleshooting, and validation.\n Strong written and verbal communication skills.\n Ability to work effectively in a team environment.\n Willingness to work overtime, including weekends and holidays.\n Ability to support domestic and international project assignments.\n\n\nTravel & Work Schedule:\n\n Approximately 50% travel may be required.\n Current travel includes Kentucky and Indiana, with potential assignments across the U.S., Canada, and Mexico.\n International travel, including Japan, may be required.\n Overtime is common, with an average workweek of approximately 50 hours, including weekend work when needed.\n\n\nInterview Process:\n\n Round 1: MS Teams or In-Person\n Round 2: In-Person\n\n\nEEOC Compliance:\nWe are an equal opportunity employer, and all qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment.\n\nDISCLAIMER:\nAI Usage Policy: Pacer Group uses AI to assist in screening applications.
