- # Job Description# Mechanical Engineer - Mechanical Engineer II**Location:** Westborough, Massachusetts (Onsite) **Employment Type:** Contract* Apply Design for Manufacturing (DFM), Design for Assembly (DFA), or Design for X principles.* Utilize experience with manufacturing processes such as injection molding, machining, sheet metal fabrication, or electronics assembly.* Work with contract manufacturers and manage supplier relationships.* Implement quality systems and methodologies including Six Sigma, Lean Manufacturing, or continuous improvement principles.* Use CAD software for design tasks and interpret technical drawings.* Apply understanding of statistical process control and capability analysis.* Master's degree in Engineering Management, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field.* Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt certification.* Experience with robotics, mechatronics, or electromechanical systems manufacturing.* Experience leading New Product Introduction (NPI) activities from prototype to mass production.* Knowledge of test engineering principles and automated test equipment development.* Experience with failure analysis techniques including FMEA, 8D, and root cause corrective action.* Familiarity with Industry 4.0 technologies and smart manufacturing systems.* Experience working in global manufacturing environments.* Project management skills with the ability to influence cross-functional stakeholders.*Everforth Apex is a world-class IT services company that serves thousands of clients across the globe.
