IT Operations Project Manager 3

job summary:
The ITSAC Project Manager will:

∙ Lead end‑to‑end project planning, execution, monitoring, and closure for the AL Laptop Refresh Project.

∙ Manage project schedule, scope, risks, issues, dependencies, and deliverables.

∙ Coordinate closely with A&L leadership, Service Desk, IT Operations, Enterprise Information Security, and Asset Management teams.

∙ Oversee daily deployment logistics including device imaging, scheduling of staff appointments, on‑site technician assignments, tracking of completion counts, and mitigation of deployment blockers.

∙ Partner with ITS refresh teams to ensure smooth hardware delivery, readiness, and deployment.

∙ Ensure all activities align with OAG standards, statewide guidance, and ITSAC contracting requirements.

∙ Prepare and deliver regular status reports, dashboards, and stakeholder communications.

∙ Maintain project documentation including plans, RAID logs, change control, acceptance criteria, and close‑out packages.

∙ Support improvement of refresh processes for follow‑on divisions, reflecting lessons learned from the AL rollout.

Minimum Qualifications

∙ 8+ years of progressive IT project management experience with experience in the following;

∙ Demonstrated leadership of hardware deployment or enterprise refresh programs.

∙ Expertise in SDLC, PMBOK, Agile delivery coordination, change management, and enterprise IT operations.

∙ Proven ability to communicate clearly with executives, technical teams, and end‑users.

∙ Strong organizational, analytical, and problem‑solving skills.

∙ Ability to manage multiple vendors and cross‑functional teams.

∙ Proficiency with MS Project, Excel, SharePoint, Teams, and standard OAG workflow tools.

Preferred Qualifications

∙ PMP, CSM, or ITIL certifications.

∙ Experience with Texas state agencies.

∙ Prior experience supporting statewide IT.

∙ Experience organizing logistics for deployments exceeding 800+ devices.
