Cook JobPrepare and cook food, using menus in the food service program.Adjust menus to utilize foods in the refrigerator and freezer to prevent waste and spoilage.Monitor refrigerator and freezer temperaturesMaintain a clean, orderly and safe kitchen environment.Ensure proper storage of food for infection control.Preparing food and plating mealsProperly store or discard leftovers, and take out garbageClean food stations and wash dishes, cooking vesselsStock ingredients and monitor inventoryHelp maintain kitchen equipment and appliancesOperation of kitchen appliances (dishwasher, garbage disposal, microwave, coffee maker, ice machine, blender, food processor, meat slicer, mixer, etc.)Carry out other duties as assigned.Willingness to learn and workEnjoyment in working with older adultsExperience in food handling and preparationBatch cooking for institutions experience preferredHourly Rate: Ranges $18- $22
