What You'll Do

• Perform ThinPrep screening for both GYN and non-GYN samples
• Handle onsite FNA procedures and prepare specimens accordingly
• Make preliminary diagnoses, stain and interpret cytology slides
• Assist with on-site procedures and specimen labeling/identification
• Provide cytology support for a variety of sample types, including ascitic, esophageal, gastric, spinal, and bronchial fluids
• Collaborate with an experienced team, including a Cytotechnologist with 40 years of expertise, to ensure high-quality lab results
• Maintain compliance with all safety and quality protocols in cytology procedures

What You Need

• Valid CT (ASCP) certification
• Louisiana State Licensure through LSBME (CLS Cytotechnologist)
• At least 2 years of cytotechnology experience, especially with ThinPrep, FNA, and cytology sample preparation
• Skilled in staining, slide interpretation, specimen handling, and on-site procedures
• Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team
