Senior Java Software Engineer

To support a mission-critical application modernization program for a Department of War customer, the full-time Senior Java Software Engineer will maintain and enhance production applications using Java Spring Boot, React, and PostgreSQL, while working in a hybrid environment that includes on-site requirements in Northern Virginia and Maryland. Key responsibilities Maintain and support a production application, managing defects, security patches, and production releases Implement application-side integrations with the modernization platform and maintain operational runbooks Participate in the Severity 1 on-call rotation to address critical production incidents and ensure compliance with security standards Required qualifications 7+ years of experience in enterprise Java development using Spring Boot Strong experience with SQL, PostgreSQL, and RESTful APIs Experience operating and supporting production applications in cloud environments Familiarity with formal change management processes and privileged-access security controls U.S. citizenship and eligibility for a current favorably adjudicated Tier 5 investigation or Top Secret clearance Virtual Vocations Inc
