Join us and help shape the future of aerospace and defense.What You Will Do: This position is for a Process Quality Engineering leadership role within the ACF responsible for ensuring our Control plans meet customer requirements both for their department and through the entire product value stream. They develop quality controls, conduct inspections, perform root cause analysis, and lead continuous improvement initiatives to minimize defects and prevent customer escapes. Works autonomously with limited oversight from manager.Responsibilities include:Develops and implements Quality signature improvement strategies and systemic controls in partnership with Manufacturing Engineering and OperationsLeadership role in PRTs and Technical investigationsAnalyze and present complex data to support quality signature improvementsIdentify and establish required QMS improvements to support this new internal product lineLead activities to support FAA & AS9100 scope expansion and maintain complianceSolid commercial and financial awareness with a full understanding of how failures impact business financials, customer satisfaction, and future ordersLead Process Improvement opportunities using DMAIC, CORE and Lean Strategies to enhance quality, decrease process cycle time, and reduce operational costsProvide technical expertise of non-conforming material and support the communication and processing of quality notifications through the Material Review Board (MRB) processDefine and implement plans to support the objectives of the business including Quality, CORE, and financial metricsProvide effective communication and works to influence colleagues within ACF and across P&W regarding policies, procedures and practices Qualifications You Must Have: Bachelor’s degree and 8 years of related experience or an advanced degree and 5 years of experience US Citizenship required due to government contract Qualifications We Value: Demonstrated leadership & Management experience Knowledgeable / experienced in AS9100 / ISO 9001 Quality systems Working knowledge/ proficiency in Quality tools such as FAI, PFMEA, DFMEA, GR&R, GD&T elements, etc. Experienced in root cause corrective action and eliminating non-conformances Practical DMAIC, CORE, Six Sigma experience or other Lean Systems experience Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with demonstrated ability to work effectively with associates at all levels of the organization A strong desire to succeed and pursue continued growth and developmental opportunities Ability to meet commitments, balance and resolve conflicting priorities High energy, dynamic individual who strives for continuous improvement Results focused work ethic to resolve issues in a timely mannerPlease ensure the role type defined below is appropriate for your needs before applying to this role. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
