Development Operations Specialist

Named by The Boston Globe as one of the Top Places to Work in Massachusetts for the last four years, our community-based, mission-driven hospice and palliative care organization seeks a Development Operations Specialist to join its growing Advancement Team. Our not-for-profit hospice and palliative care organization has an opportunity for a highly organized, detail-oriented, compassionate, and resourceful individual. Candidates must have strong written and verbal communication skills, experience with database management, and be eager and willing to handle the diverse responsibilities of the job with a helpful, professional attitude and a friendly demeanor.

Job Responsibilities :

The Development Operations Specialist works to promote organizational advancement through philanthropic relationships and communications efforts, and is responsible for all administrative aspects of fundraising activities.

The Development Operations Specialist also assists with reporting to help establish and achieve fundraising goals, participates in benchmarking activities and ensures the successful implementation of fundraising appeals and initiatives. They participate in researching donor prospects, foundation and grant tracking and reporting.

Schedule and Weekly Hours:

Monday through Friday, 9 am to 5 pm (40 hours)

Education, Skills and Experience:

• College degree or a minimum of one to two years of experience in an administrative position. Development and not-for-profit experience preferred

• Enthusiastic about supporting and working as part of a team

• Self-motivated, detail-oriented

• Demonstrated ability to organize and prioritize work

• Proficiency in Google suite applications (docs, sheets); Database management experience preferred; Raiser’s Edge NXT a plus

• Knowledgeable about LinkedIn

• Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal skills

Pay Range:

$42,000-$48,000: This number reflects an average starting range for this position. Individual pay is determined through a variety of factors including experience, education, certifications, and skills and can exceed the starting range.
