**Welder- Harvey, IL - Pay Range - $21-$23/hr. **

Shift/Schedule:

2nd shift - 3:30 pm to 12:00 am (Monday-Friday)

Will train on 1st Shift (Monday- Friday) 7 am- 3:30 PM

This position is contract to hire and will be part of a union when hired on full time. Our manufacturing customer in Harvey is seeking an welder for their growing automotive operation.

**Job Duties: **

• Read and work from customer drawings to produce high-quality welds

• Perform welding in flat, horizontal, and vertical positions (GMAW, FCAW, and/or SAW)

• Use hand tools, measuring devices, and fabrication equipment

• Inspect your own work and ensure welds meet quality standards

• Make adjustments as needed to maintain top-quality results

• Work closely with production and engineering teams to solve challenges

**Qualifications: **

• Experience with welding processes (GMAW, FCAW, and/or SAW)

• Ability to recognize basic weld defects and maintain quality

• Comfortable using grinding tools and air-arc (carbon-arc) equipment

• Ability to work independently and stay productive

• Willingness to follow instructions, safety rules, and production goals

• An employee that works in Illinois is entitled to accrue and use up to 40 hours of paid leave during a 12 month period or a pro rata number of hours of paid leave under the provisions of the State of Illinois Paid Leave for All Workers Act.? The company will match 100% of the first 3% of the employee contribution.? As well as, match 50% of the next 2% of the employee contribution. (The company contribution/match maximum is 4%)
