Commercial Dock and Door Technician

Quantum Lift Full-Time Door & Dock Field MechanicsQuantum Lift is seeking Full-Time Door & Dock Field Mechanics for our Warren, MI location. This role offers Monday-Friday, first-shift hours, averaging 40 – 45 hours per week with opportunities for overtime. Overtime and weekends availability required. Our Dock and Door Mechanics are responsible for on-site client installations, repairs, and maintenance of all brands of sectional doors, rolling doors, entry doors, and dock equipment, including mechanical, hydraulic, air-powered, and edge-of-dock plates. Starting compensation ranges from $20-45/hour, depending on experience.Requirements:Possess a strong mechanical background and basic electrical and hydraulics understandingMinimum of 2 years of welding experienceCan provide basic toolsCan pass a drug screeningHave good customer relations skills with clear and concise language skillsEnjoy being part of a team, but can work independentlyUtilize technology such as a laptop or tabletHave a valid driver's license in good standingHave a strong mechanical aptitude and abilitiesAbility to lift 50 pounds due to lift and move functionsTypical Responsibilities of Our Dock and Door Mechanics:Diagnose and repair industrial overhead doors, dock levelers, dock locks, and other dock related equipmentCommunicate effectively any needed repairs with customersComplete work orders in a timely mannerCoordinate with parts and service department dailyKeep work van clean and stocked with necessary suppliesComply with all safety procedures within Quantum Lift's guidelinesConsistently and reliably attend shift ready to work when scheduledPerform any other duties as assignedOur Benefits:We offer health, dental, vision, FSA options, life, and disability insurance available on the first day of employment.
