Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced ICU RN for a night shift float pool position requiring 2 years of ICU experience, Epic proficiency, and an active LA or compact RN license.

Details

• ICU float pool position requiring rotation to ICU, CVICU, NICU, SICU, MICU, TICU, and Burn units as needed
• Night shift schedule, 3x12-hour shifts from 19:00 to 7:30
• Patient ratio of 1:2
• Required to work every other weekend
• Holiday coverage required
• No on-call requirements
• Epic charting system used

Requirements

• Active LA or compact RN license required at time of consideration
• Minimum 2 years of ICU experience required
• Epic charting experience required
• BLS and ACLS certifications required
• CPI and CCRN certifications preferred
• NIHSS certification required
• Prior charge nurse experience preferred
• Skilled in IV therapy, arterial line management, central and PICC line care, and blood product administration
• Experience with ventilator management, ABG interpretation, and care of ventilated patients
• Experience with CRRT/CVVHD and renal failure management preferred
• Experience with cardiac drips, vasoactive drip titration, and dysrhythmia management
• Two recent supervisor references required for consideration
• Must disclose any license history issues along with a personal statement

Additional Information

• Provide critical care nursing across multiple ICU specialties including cardiovascular, neuro, surgical, trauma, and burn units
• Navy blue scrubs required
• Strict 5-day maximum RTO policy
• First-time travelers will not be considered for this position
• Local candidates within 75 miles accepted at local rate regardless of specialty
• Permanent staff must be separated from the health system for at least 1 year before being eligible for travel assignments
• Pre-start facility education modules required, with durations varying by specialty
