Position Summary

Supports valet operations by processing guest transactions, maintaining accurate ticket and cash controls, assisting with vehicle

requests, and providing courteous information at the valet booth or cashier station.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

•  Greet guests, receive claim tickets, confirm vehicle requests, and communicate retrieval information to the valet team.

•  Accurately process cash, credit/debit card, validation, mobile, and other approved payments.

•  Issue receipts and follow established procedures for discounts, validations, refunds, voids, and disputed transactions.

•  Maintain assigned cash drawer, change fund, tickets, keys, validations, and transaction records securely.

•  Balance the cash drawer and complete shift reconciliation, deposit, and handoff procedures accurately.

•  Answer questions regarding rates, hours, directions, venue services, and the valet process in a professional manner.

•  Protect cardholder, guest, and vehicle information and follow applicable payment-security procedures.

•  Coordinate closely with attendants, leads, and supervisors to minimize wait times and resolve ticket discrepancies.

•  Report shortages, overages, equipment problems, suspicious transactions, lost tickets, guest complaints, and safety concerns.

•  Keep the booth and surrounding guest-service area clean, organized, stocked, and ready for operation.

Minimum Qualifications

•  High school diploma or GED preferred.

•  Six months or more of cashier, customer-service, hospitality, parking, or retail experience preferred.

•  Basic math skills and demonstrated accuracy handling cash and electronic payments.

•  Professional communication, dependability, attention to detail, and ability to remain composed during peak periods.

•  Ability to use point-of-sale equipment, payment terminals, radios, scanners, and mobile applications after training.

•  Ability to maintain confidentiality and follow cash-handling and loss-prevention procedures.

Physical and Work Environment

•  Regularly stand and walk for extended periods and work outdoors in Houston heat, humidity, rain, and changing weather conditions.

•  Frequently bend, reach, enter and exit vehicles, and move quickly between the valet lane and parking areas.

•  Lift or carry up to 25 pounds; attendants and operational leaders must be able to jog or run short distances when safe and necessary.

•  Maintain the vision, hearing, coordination, and alertness required to perform assigned duties safely, with or without reasonable

accommodation.

Seasonal Schedule and Conditions of Employment

•  Seasonal, temporary assignment based on client and event needs.

•  Schedules may include early mornings, evenings, overnight shifts, weekends, holidays, and extended hours.

•  Reliable and punctual attendance is an essential function of the position.

•  Employment is contingent upon successful completion of all client and employer requirements, which may include driving-record

review, background screening, drug testing, training, and credential verification.
