Job Description:

Our client, an AmLaw 200 firm, is looking to hire a Legal Administrative Assistant - Litigation at their offices in San Antonio, TX 78215. This is a fulltime, direct hire role paying an annual base salary of $60K to $70K plus an annual discretionary bonus and excellent benefits package.

 

This position reports to the Office Manager, as well as assigned attorneys, and will work as part of a team. This is a hybrid position, requiring the LAA to be in the office three (3) days per week.

 

Required Skills and Experience

• Candidates must have a minimum of 3 years of litigation experience.
• Providing the requisite legal secretarial and administrative support and clerical needs to assigned attorneys.
• Preparing letters, memos, and other legal documentation.
• Entering client information into the system to run conflicts checks for new clients, as well as preparation of supporting documentation such as engagement letters.
• Preparing and filing pleadings with the appropriate court system and docketing dates into a central docketing system, as needed.
• Making travel arrangements and preparing expense reimbursement documentation.
• Answering the phones of assigned attorneys; and
• Entering attorney time.

 

Preferred Skills

• A track record of excellent communication skills and a commitment to providing the highest quality client service are strongly preferred.

 

Qualifications

• Excellent computer skills utilizing all aspects of Office 365.
• Excellent attention to detail with superb proofreading skills.
• Ability to prioritize and manage a high-volume and diverse workload able to handle multiple tasks at one time with exceptional organizational skills.
• Must have sound judgment and business acumen when interacting with clients, potential clients, guests, coworkers, and others; and
• Certified Legal Secretary designation is a plus.
