Chief Executive Officer (CEO) - New Century, Kansas 

About our Client: Our client operates in Aerospace & Defense and Professional Services (Gaming). Its Aerospace segment develops special mission and performance-enhancing aircraft modifications, regulators-driven aircraft solutions, and provides engineering design, fabrication, maintenance, system integration, manufacturing, overhaul and repair of aircraft and aircraft-related products. The company also manages professional gaming services and related sports wagering operations following Kansas' legalization of sports wagering.

SUMMARY OF POSITION  

The Chief Executive Officer (CEO) serves as the principal executive officer of the client and is responsible for the overall leadership, strategic direction, financial performance, governance, and long-term success of the Company. 

The CEO is accountable to the Board of Directors for creating sustainable shareholder value through disciplined capital allocation, operational excellence, strategic growth initiatives, regulatory compliance, risk management, and leadership development. The CEO provides executive oversight of the client's subsidiary companies as well. 

The CEO reports to the Board of Directors. 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Corporate Leadership & Strategy  

• Develop and execute the Company's long-term strategic plan. 
• Identify growth opportunities, acquisitions, partnerships, and diversification initiatives. 
• Lead succession planning and executive talent development. 

Financial Performance & Capital Allocation  

• Deliver revenue growth, profitability, cash flow, and shareholder value objectives. 
• Oversee budgeting, forecasting, capital allocation, and strategic investments. 
• Evaluate mergers, acquisitions, divestitures, and strategic transactions 

Public Company Leadership & Investor Relations  

• Lead investor communications and quarterly earnings calls. 
• Ensure compliance with SEC reporting requirements and governance standards. 

Board Relations & Corporate Governance  

• Maintain a productive relationship with the Board of Directors. 
• Support governance, risk oversight, and succession planning activities.

Aerospace & Defense Business Oversight  

• Provide strategic oversight of the client's subsidiary companies. 
• Support innovation, mission systems integration, manufacturing excellence, and growth. 

Gaming Operations Leadership  

• Provide strategic oversight of the client's subsidiary companies. 
• Ensure regulatory compliance and operational performance. 

Risk Management & Compliance  

• Oversee enterprise risk management and regulatory compliance. 

Leadership & Talent Development  

• Recruit, develop, and retain high-performing leaders. 

QUALIFICATIONS, KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED  

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Engineering, Aviation, Management, or related field. 
• Minimum of 15 years of progressive leadership experience, including significant executive-level responsibility 
• Prior experience as a Chief Executive Officer (CEO), President, Chief Operating Officer (COO), Division President, General Manager, or equivalent senior executive with full profit-and-loss responsibility.  
• Demonstrated success leading a complex operating company, business unit, or division through periods of growth, operational improvement, organizational development, and value creation. 
• Significant leadership experience in aerospace, defense, military electronics, aviation services, advanced manufacturing, government contracting, gaming, hospitality, or other highly regulated industries.  
• Experience overseeing or partnering closely with engineering, manufacturing, and operational leadership teams in technically complex or regulated business environments. 
• Strong financial acumen, including budgeting, forecasting, capital allocation, strategic planning, performance management, and value creation initiatives. 
• Proven track record of driving revenue growth, profitability improvement, cash flow generation, and shareholder value creation. 
• Experience working directly with Boards of Directors and corporate governance processes 
• Exceptional leadership, communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills. 
• Demonstrated ability to lead organizations operating across multiple business units, geographic locations, and regulatory environments. 

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS  

• MBA or other advanced business degree. 
• Experience leading mergers, acquisitions, integrations, and strategic transactions. 
• Familiarity with FAA, Department of Defense (DoD), defense contracting, aerospace certification, gaming, or related regulatory frameworks.  
• Experience overseeing multiple operating businesses, divisions, or business segments. 
• Significant experience operating within a publicly traded company environment, including SEC reporting requirements, public disclosures, earnings communications, investor relations, Board governance, and shareholder engagement.
