Medical Legal Document Manager

Job Description Job Description Meridian MedLegal Management, LLC is looking for a full-time Document Manager. Meridian has a panel of board certified physicians who provide their expertise on civil litigation cases. Meridian provides administrative support to the physician throughout the entire case. The Document Manager is responsible for the management of the medical and pertinent records for each expert and works closely with the case manager to insure all necessary records are indexed and sent to the expert within the designated timeframe. Below is a list of key responsibilities and essential skills for this position. SKILLS: ·MUST be able to multi-task and take direction easily while demonstrating SUPREME organizational skills and follow through. ·The ability to work independently while staying focused and demonstrating efficiency. ·Attention to detail is imperative ·Proven experience managing a calendar and other deadlines/due dates. ·Must be able to adapt to changing priorities as they arise and work well with other team members ·Approaches tasks with a sense of urgency and has a can-do attitude ·Maintain a professional demeanor at all times while dealing with clients and doctors. DUTIES: ·Receive & process medical records/films, legal correspondence and discovery for medical experts retained in med-legal cases. ·Coordinate with clients to ensure receipt of all pertinent records and follow up when necessary ·Communicate with case manager on a daily basis regarding changes to case statuses, doctor preferences and deadlines ·Prepare and bind files for exams, arbitration, depositions and trial. ·Keep accurate logging of all case activity in case management software ·Maintain internal file systems of all items received for the case ·Assist with other administrative duties as needed MERIDIAN PROVIDES: ·Competitive pay ·Benefits ·Paid holidays and paid time off ·A positive work environment ·Opportunity for advancement Company Description Meridian MedLegal Management is a medical legal management company that provides administrative services to medical experts who offer their expert opinion on cases involved in litigation.
