Job Overview Lab Technician in the Visual Perception & Plasticity Lab at Georgetown University Medical Center, part of the Department of Neurology and Center for Brain Plasticity and Recovery. Additional Duties Coordinate research involving stroke patients, epilepsy patients, and healthy volunteers. Assist with experimental design, programming, experiment setup, and data analysis. Conduct behavioral, fMRI, and brain stimulation experiments with stroke patients and healthy volunteers. Conduct behavioral and fMRI experiments with epilepsy patients and healthy volunteers. Oversee day‑to‑day lab operations. Work Interactions Works directly with the lab Principal Investigator, Dr. Tina Liu, and collaborates closely with IPN faculty, neurologists, and neuro‑ophthalmologists in the Department of Neurology to support neuroscience research activities. Requirements and Qualifications Bachelor’s degree required; preferred majors include Neuroscience, Psychology, Computer Science, Engineering, or related fields. Prior experience in human neuroscience research, especially neuroimaging techniques, is strongly preferred. Basic computer skills required; proficiency in MATLAB or Python is a plus but can be learned in the lab.
