Automotive Mechanical Inspector / Edison, NJ The objective of the Automotive Mechanical Inspector is to travel to repair facilities across the designated territory to verify mechanical failures and document findings. Responsibilities Travel to repair facilities to verify mechanical failures for insurance claims. Take high-quality photos and video of findings. Operate a motor vehicle for up to 8 hours daily and perform physical inspections of auto loss sites. Work outdoors in all types of weather. Qualifications & Requirements Minimum 5 years hands‑on automotive repair experience, ASE or equivalent Manufacturer Certifications. Valid driver’s license. Basic automotive tools. Ability to take high quality photos and video. Computer & Phone System Requirements Smartphone capable of receiving text messages and monitoring email. Computer with internet access. Experience with web-based applications a plus. Working Conditions & Physical Demands 100% travel within designated working territory. Operate a motor vehicle for up to 8 hours daily.
