Job Summary:

• Seeking an experienced Senior Quality Engineer (10 20 years) to imbed themselves into the day to day operations at a couple of our suppliers.
• The ideal candidate will drive quality excellence in a machine shop environment, leveraging deep expertise in Quality Management Systems (QMS), advanced inspection techniques, First Article Inspections (FAI), program management, and AS9100 compliance.

Key Responsibilities:

Participate and report status on -

• Optimizing QMS processes to ensure compliance with AS9100 and customer requirements
• Consult in the development, implementation, and maintenance of inspection protocols for precision aerospace components
• Oversee First Article Inspections (FAI) and root cause analysis for nonconformances
• Manage corrective and preventive actions and drive continuous improvement initiatives
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Quality Engineering, Manufacturing, Engineering, Supply Chain, Program Management) to support mission assurance and process robustness
• Continuous audit/surveillance of supplier execution
• Report on activities related to quality and manufacturing performance, including schedule adherence and resource allocation

Required Qualifications:

• 10 20 years of quality engineering experience in aerospace/space machine shop environments
• Proven expertise in QMS, AS9100, and advanced inspection techniques
• Strong background in FAI, root cause analysis, and corrective action methodologies (8D, 5-Why, Fishbone)
• Demonstrated program management skills and ability to lead complex projects
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related technical field (Master's preferred)

Preferred Skills:

• Experience with SAP, MS Office, Lean, Six Sigma, and Kaizen principles
• Formal auditor training in AS9100/ISO9001
• Excellent communication, teamwork, and leadership abilities.
