About the Role
The Company is seeking an Assistant Vice President of Philanthropic Impact to lead the post-award management and stewardship of philanthropic investments. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring that donor-funded resources are effectively and responsibly utilized, in alignment with institutional priorities, and in accordance with donor intent. This role involves strategic oversight of a diverse portfolio, including gifts, grants, endowments, and other philanthropic investments, with a focus on translating these resources into meaningful outcomes for students and communities. The AVP will also be tasked with building and leading a high-performing team, establishing systems and processes for the management of donor-funded initiatives, and providing executive-level reporting and recommendations. Applicants for the AVP position should have a Bachelor's degree (Master's preferred) and a minimum of 7-10 years' of experience in program management, grants administration, project management, budgeting, finance, philanthropy operations, or higher education administration. The role requires a candidate with a proven track record in leading complex portfolios, budgets, and multi-stakeholder initiatives, as well as experience in building systems and teams that drive organizational effectiveness. High ethical standards, a commitment to the mission of the institution, and the ability to promote an inclusive environment are essential. The AVP will also be expected to have strong cross-functional leadership and collaboration skills, and to be adept at facilitating communication and alignment among various stakeholders.
