Key Responsibilities of the RN - MedSurg/Tele

• Provide general post-surgical care including incision care, assessment, and wound management
• Attend to a patient ratio of approximately 1:4-6, manageable surges may increase it to 1:7-8
• Collaborate with support teams including CNAs, Charge nurses, IV/VAT teams, and Respiratory Therapists
• Utilize EMR: EPIC and technical equipment such as BD Alaris IV pumps and Omnicell medication dispensing systems
• Ensure patient safety with available resources such as the BERT Behavioral Response Team and Rapid Response/Code Teams

Requirements of the RN - MedSurg/Tele

• Minimum 18 months Med/Tele RN experience
• Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications
• Proficiency in post-surgical skills such as traction, trach care, and wound vac use
