Employment Details Employment Status: Variable / Flex Shift: Any Day, Any Shift (United States of America) Location: 415 S Main St - Rocky Mount Requisition Number: R159821 Job Summary Occupational Therapist – Flex/PRN (Open) Responsibilities Confirm and interpret physician referrals. Perform patient assessments and develop individualized treatment programs based on developmental or chronological age and medical diagnoses. Provide patient care and set goals in conjunction with patients and/or family members. Coordinate patient care with physicians, therapists, managers, and other team members through written and verbal communication. Document patient care in medical records and complete required forms in compliance with regulations. Supervise OTAs and Certified OTAs, collaborating with therapy staff, support staff, volunteers, and students. Participate in departmental activities such as in‑services, performance improvement, program development, new employee orientation, committee membership, peer review, and staff meetings. Encourage and implement cost‑containing initiatives within the department. Work in various clinical settings, including hospital, nursing home, outpatient sites, partner facilities, home care, and occasional outside settings such as driving program, hydro‑therapy, or home evaluations. Perform physical tasks with patients, including lifting, manipulating, pushing, pulling, bending, and walking. Requirements Bachelor’s or master’s degree in occupational therapy from an accredited program. Licensed to practice as an occupational therapist in the Commonwealth of Virginia. AHA BLS certification within six months of employment. Minimum one year of clinical experience for Home Health positions; site‑specific experience preferred.
