A career at Koorsen includes competitive pay, a comprehensive health package, an annual bonus program, life insurance, continuous learning opportunities, a matching 401(k), paid holidays, generous PTO, tuition reimbursement, career growth opportunities, and more.Salary Up to $19-35/hour depending upon experienceResponsibilities:The inspection and test of Fire Alarm & Sprinkler systems and their components to ensure proper functionality.Inspect and test Fire Alarm/Sprinkler systems and document any deficiencies.Ensure customers understand the functionality of their system.Interact with customers, vendors, and co-workers professionally.Demonstrate an understanding of and follow all safety regulations and practices.Open-minded willingness for continual learningFollow all Koorsen policies, procedures, and core values.Any other duties deemed appropriate by management.Required:1 year of low voltage experience OR fire protection industry experienceRead and interpret diagrams, blueprints, and specifications.Experience with electronic testing devices.Pass drug and background screenings.Strong written and verbal communication skillsAble to meet state licensing requirements and/or vendor certifications.Valid driver's licensePreferred:Fire Life Safety, Low Voltage, Security experience.Fire Alarm Manufacturer's CertificationsProficiency working in Microsoft Suite: Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPointBasic understanding of IT functionalityNICET certificationPhysical Demands:Able to safely and effectively use general hand and power tools.Lift and carry a minimum of 75 lbs. Push and pull more significantly than 75 lbs.To perform services, climb a ladder to a height of at least 12 feet, use a man lift, and reach heights exceeding 40 feet.Exposure to outside weather conditions, temperature changes, and loud noisesWhile performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to talk or hear. The employee is frequently required to sit, stand, walk, use hands to finger, handle, or feel, and reach with hands and arms.Hiring Process (in addition to an interview):New hires must complete the I-9 Verification form within three days.
