Job Title: Machine Operator – Injection Molding
Location: Essex, CT
Schedule: 1st Shift | Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM
Pay: $25–$27/hour (DOE)
Employment Type: Temp-to-Perm or Direct Hire (for the right candidate)
We are seeking an experienced Injection Molding Machine Operator to support production in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. This role is responsible for machine operation, setup, troubleshooting, and ensuring high-quality output while maintaining safety and efficiency standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate and monitor injection molding machines to meet daily production goals
- Set up machines and tooling for production runs
- Perform routine adjustments, troubleshooting, and minor repairs
- Inspect equipment prior to use and ensure proper functionality
- Conduct in-process quality checks and make necessary adjustments
- Measure and verify parts using precision tools (calipers, micrometers, etc.)
- Maintain accurate production logs, including scrap and corrective actions
- Follow all safety protocols and OSHA guidelines
- Maintain a clean and organized work area
Qualifications
- Injection molding experience required
- Ability to adjust machine parameters and troubleshoot issues
- Experience with machine setup and tooling changes
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings
- Experience using precision measuring tools
- Forklift and pallet jack experience preferred
- Familiarity with SAP or similar ERP systems is a plus
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
- Team-oriented with the ability to work independently
