Behavioral Health Technician/Mental Health Technician

Responsibilities Support behavioral health care delivery by providing supervised clinical and administrative services Conduct intakes and assist with care and treatment of psychiatric clients Observe clients to detect behavior patterns and report observations to licensed behavioral health staff Lead individual or group therapy sessions under the guidance of a licensed mental health professional Coordinate attendance and agenda at Case Review Committee with military and civilian agencies Requirements Minimum of three (3) years’ experience as a psychiatric technician Associate degree or commensurate level of training, e.g. military mental health technician, for a psychiatric technician or mental health program assistant Applicable psychiatric technicians’ training shall include a sound foundation / basis to psychology and/or social work Training shall address the basics of conflict management and how to de-escalate crisis situations Trained to intervene and, when required, to restrain violent or potentially violent or suicidal clients by verbal or physical means. #J-18808-Ljbffr Jobtailor
