Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant: Occupational Medicine, Malta, New York

Join our Occupational Medicine team! Physician Assistant/Nurse Practitioner – Practice Part-Time Evenings in Malta, New York Schedule: Evenings with some day coverage, 24 hours per week (48 hours biweekly). Work 3:00 pm – 11:30 pm Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday at our client medical facility in Malta. No weekends, holidays, or on‑call. Responsibilities Obtain, document, and update medical history; identify health risks and needs. Perform physical examinations and conduct preventive screening procedures based on age and history. Formulate differential diagnosis and plan of care based on history, physical examination, and clinical findings. Order and review diagnostic tests; identify, prescribe, and manage pharmacological therapies. Determine effectiveness of plan of care through documentation of patient care outcomes. Reassess and modify plan of care as necessary to achieve medical and health goals. Make referrals to other health professionals and community agencies; admit/discharge to appropriate service. Participate in team meetings and conferences to enhance interdisciplinary care. Serve on departmental and multidisciplinary committees influencing policies for advanced practice providers. Participate in and develop projects and quality improvement programs, as well as standards of care and practice. Maintain current level of knowledge relative to professional practice. Maintain all required professional documentation such as license, certifications, infection control, ACLS/BLS, DEA, and system requirements. Act as a resource to staff and implement educational programs as needed. Qualifications License to practice as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant in New York State, prior to credentialing.
