Senior Revenue Accountant

Senior Revenue Accountant Location: Bedford, MA – Hybrid, 3 days in office / 2 days remote Company: $500M, Global, Publicly Held SaaS Base pay $90,000.00/yr - $105,000.00/yr Additional compensation Annual Bonus Responsibilities Oversee recurring revenue close activities each month and quarter, including the preparation of related journal entries, account reconciliations, and analytical reviews. Assist in drafting periodic financial reports and regulatory filings, including supporting schedules and disclosures tied to revenue (10‑K & 10‑Q). Apply appropriate accounting treatment in line with U.S. standards and the company’s internal revenue recognition framework. Partner with Sales, Legal, and FP&A teams to evaluate contract terms and determine financial reporting impacts. Maintain and refine internal processes and control structures governing revenue and reporting to ensure alignment with compliance standards. Serve as a key contact during financial audits, providing documentation and analysis for revenue‑related inquiries. Help formalize and update internal accounting procedures, policy documentation, and control narratives. Participate in process improvement and system optimization projects focused on automation and reporting accuracy. Keep current with evolving accounting standards, industry practices, and regulatory developments affecting revenue recognition and reporting. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA or progress toward CPA strongly preferred. 3‑5 years of progressive accounting experience, with a strong focus on revenue recognition and SEC reporting. Experience in a public accounting firm and/or publicly traded technology company (preferably SaaS or cybersecurity).
