We are a Principal-led practice.Our Federal Buildings practice that provides Architecture, Buildings Engineering, Urban, and Interior Design services with a long history and deep commitment to the clients that include NAVFAC, USACE, USCG, NGB, GSA, and more. You will play a critical role in advancing Stantec’s success across multiple NAVFAC and USACE contracts in the West and Indo-Pacific regions. This position offers the opportunity to manage complex projects ranging from $30 million to over billion dollars in construction value, utilizing sound judgment, strong interpersonal skills, and proven project delivery methods.Your Key ResponsibilitiesTo be a Principal Architectural leader for the design and delivery of major projects.To interface regularly with architectural and engineering leaders across North America to thrive and contribute within the integrated design practiceSustain and grow revenue within the Indo-Pacific region and collaborate across the North American market, helping to attract top tier clients and achieve top line growth for the Federal sectorCollaborate with technical and managerial project leads to achieve key operational performance metrics including traditional financial metrics as well as demonstrating improved outcomes for the projects we deliverLead local and regional business development pursuits including pre-positioning, strategic proposal development inclusive of architecture and engineering professionals, to achieve business development and financial goals in accordance with Stantec policiesServe as a seller-doer generating work, creating long-term relationships and delivering long-term value to clients for StantecDevelop and maintain industry relationships and visibility with current and prospective clients, sub-consultants, competitor/teaming partners, and potential recruitsContribute to the thought leadership and brand of Stantec, by sharing knowledge and innovation stories at key client engagements, industry events and across professional networksMentor and coach next generation of designers and thought leaders, as well as receive mentoring and coaching from our established team of designers and thought leadersYour Capabilities and CredentialsDemonstrated design and planning acumen and leadership on major projectsAbility to lead project teams across a range of project types and scales with proven ability to balance a book of business in this regardExperience with strategic pre-positioning for pursuits inclusive of engagement strategies, responding to Expression of Interests, Statements of Qualifications, Requests for Proposals, formal interviews, and professional fee and contract negotiationsStrong business development skills, including significant experience developing and maintaining productive relationships with a client base—a seller-doer capable of generating work and creating long-term relationships and delivering long-term value to clients for StantecAn entrepreneurial orientation with strong understanding of the business development challenges of a consulting-services providerKnowledge of Federal specific codes and criteria and familiarity with Unified Facilities Criteria (UFC)Excellent oral and written communication skillsExcellent organization, coordination, leadership, team-building and team engagement talentKnowledge of market assessment techniques and insights along with ability to create aspirational and achievable business plansEducation and ExperienceBachelor's or Master’s degree in Architecture or engineering or equivalentExperience with APD project delivery methodologies including but not limited to design-build, progressive design-build, and design-build to budgetFederal project experience preferred especially experience with Department of Defense (DoD)U.S. Licensed and credentialed Architect or Professional Engineer. Please note, the final agreed upon compensation is based on individual education, qualifications, experience, and work location. At Stantec certain roles are bonus eligible. Actual compensation for part-time roles will be pro-rated based on the agreed number of working hours per week.Benefits Summary: Regular full-time and part-time employees (working at least 20 hours per week) have access to medical, dental, and vision plans, a wellness program, health saving accounts, flexible spending accounts, 401(k) plan, employee stock purchase program, life and accidental death & dismemberment (AD&D) insurance, short-term/long-term disability plans, emergency travel benefits, tuition reimbursement, professional membership fee coverage and paid family leave.
