Why This Role Matters In a large clinic practice, the Finance Manager is a critical link between clinical operations and financial sustainability, ensuring the organization can deliver high-quality care while maintaining profitability and compliance. This role requires both technical financial expertise and an understanding of healthcare delivery systems. How You’ll Contribute Oversees the day-to-day financial operations, ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations and supporting strategic financial planning to maintain the clinic’s financial health and long-term sustainability. Oversees accounting, billing, accounts receivable, and reimbursement processes, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting. Develops and manages budgets, forecasts revenue and expenses, and monitors performance against financial goals. Ensures compliance with federal, state, and local financial laws, healthcare regulations, and internal control standards. Prepares statistical data, activity reports, and trend analyses to support decision-making and identifies opportunities to reduce costs and enhance revenue. Oversees the revenue cycle, manages insurance contracts, negotiates contract terms, and ensures efficient patient billing and collections. Collaborates with clinic leadership to align financial strategies with operational and clinical objectives. Supervises finance staff within a dyad organizational structure, delegates responsibilities, and ensures departmental goals are achieved within approved budgets. Partners with clinical and administrative teams to evaluate business performance, allocate resources, and implement cost-effective financial strategies. Usually reports to a Director or CFO, with authority to manage personnel and make financial decisions within the clinic’s scope. What We’re Looking For Education: Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, or a related field is required. Skills & Experience: Typically 5+ years in healthcare or finance, with 1‑3 years in supervisory roles preferred. Strong analytical, budgeting, and forecasting abilities; proficiency in financial software and reporting tools; knowledge of healthcare reimbursement systems and regulations. Leadership, communication, problem‑solving, and attention to detail.
