Plant Human Resources Manager - #26138

Blue Chip Talent , in partnership with a manufacturing organization, is seeking a skilled Plant Human Resources Manager . This role is responsible for leading plant-level HR operations, managing union labor relations, and driving employee engagement initiatives within a high-volume manufacturing environment. The ideal candidate will partner closely with plant leadership to support workforce strategy, employee relations, and organizational effectiveness.

Job Duties

• Lead deployment and implementation of HR policies, procedures, and systems within the manufacturing facility
• Manage labor relations activities, including grievance handling, disciplinary actions, arbitration support, and collective bargaining agreement interpretation
• Partner with plant leadership to support workforce planning, organizational design, and culture initiatives
• Oversee employee relations investigations involving complaints, misconduct allegations, and policy violations
• Support hiring, performance management, compensation administration, and employee development initiatives
• Facilitate compliance and operational training programs across multiple shifts and departments
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives aligned with operational and people-focused goals
• Provide HR leadership and guidance to supervisors, managers, and frontline employees in a unionized environment

Skills & Experience

Required

• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related discipline
• 5+ years of HR leadership experience within a manufacturing or plant environment
• Hands-on experience supporting unionized workforces and UAW labor relations
• Experience managing grievances, disciplinary actions, and collective bargaining agreement interpretation
• Knowledge of employment law, OSHA, EEO, and labor compliance regulations
• Experience supporting multi-shift manufacturing operations
• Familiarity with HRIS, payroll systems, and applicant tracking systems
• Experience leading HR teams and supporting large employee populations

Desired

• PHR or SPHR certification
• Experience supporting automotive or high-volume manufacturing operations
• Background in organizational design and change management initiatives
• Experience partnering with executive-level plant leadership
• Exposure to employee engagement and culture transformation programs
• Experience overseeing occupational health or EHS-related HR functions
