The Village at Penn State, State College PA, 260 Lions Hill Rd, State College, Pennsylvania, United States of America Job Description Posted Tuesday, August 18, 2026 at 4:00 AM The Village at Penn State, located in State College, PA, is one of the area’s premier independent living communities, has an exciting opportunity for a Pool/Per Diem LPN Charge Nurse position. 12 hour shifts Job Responsibilities: Direct the day-to-day functions of household staff or other nursing personnel in accordance with current rules, regulations, and guidelines that govern the Community. Interview and complete timely evaluations of household staff. Ensure that all assigned nursing personnel including household staff comply with the written policies and procedures established by the Facility. Evaluate/assess all residents with a change in condition daily, including suspected abuse. Ensure physician/family notification and documentation of changes in condition. Ensure proper procedures and policies for assisting with medications including accuracy, documentation, orders, etc., are followed for every medication daily. Responsible for reviewing all incidents on the shift of occurrence and follow-up visits when deemed necessary. Shift documentation and visual assessment are required for nine shifts. Ensure adequate supplies are available to staff at the beginning of shift. All complaints are to follow complaint procedures using proper forms. Requirements Must possess, at a minimum, a Nursing Degree from an accredited college or university, or graduate from an approved LPN/LVN/ program. Current CPR certification. Three (3) years’ experience in geriatric nursing and supervisor experience preferred. Must possess a current, unencumbered, active license to practice as a LPN/LVN in this state.
