SYSTEM ADMINISTRATOR II

Job Responsibilities:
- Set up, maintain, and manage a secure lab environment in Warrenville.
- Rack, cable, and configure physical servers and supporting hardware.
- Install and configure Windows Server (2019/2022/2025).
- Deploy and manage virtual machines using hypervisors (ESXi, Hyper-V, Proxmox).
- Configure RAID storage and server hardware components.
- Use GUI tools to configure and update firewall rules (Cisco FTD/FPD).
- Support implementation and testing of SIEM and next-generation monitoring systems (SIEM/STEM) for nuclear plants.
- Document configurations, testing procedures, and system changes.
- Troubleshoot server, virtualization, and basic network connectivity issues.
- Ensure compliance with nuclear regulatory and security standards.
Skills:
- Server & Hardware
- Experience with server racking, cabling, and hardware setup
- RAID configuration and storage management
- Windows Server 2019/2022/2025 administration
- Preferred hardware experience: HP servers, Cisco networking equipment
- Virtualization
- Hands-on experience configuring VMs
- Hypervisors: ESXi, Hyper-V, Proxmox
- Networking
- Basic understanding of IP addressing, gateways, routing concepts
- Ability to support firewall rule configuration via GUI (Cisco FTD/FPD)
- Security / SIEM
- Familiarity with SIEM tools (Splunk preferred but not mandatory)
- Experience supporting monitoring and logging infrastructure
Education/Experience:
- High School
