Description
Preferred Industrial Contractors is seeking a Welder Apprentice for work in Nederland, Texas . This is an entry-level opportunity for someone looking to develop their welding skills and build a career in industrial construction.
Responsibilities
- Assist welders with welding and fabrication activities.
- Prepare materials by grinding, cutting, cleaning, and beveling.
- Assist with fitting, positioning, and tack welding materials.
- Learn proper welding techniques, procedures, and safety practices.
- Maintain tools, equipment, and a clean work area.
- Follow all company and jobsite safety requirements.
Requirements
Qualifications
- Must be registered in a U.S. Department of Labor (DOL) approved apprenticeship program.
- Welding training or hands-on experience preferred.
- Willingness to learn and develop welding skills.
- Basic knowledge of hand and power tools.
- Dependable with reliable transportation.
- Ability to work overtime and varying schedules as needed.
- Must meet applicable jobsite requirements.
