- Performing in-depth patient evaluations, ordering diagnostic tests, and crafting tailored care plans
- Diagnosing and addressing acute, episodic, or chronic health concerns in collaboration with physicians or independently, based on your qualifications
- Informing patients and their families about prevention strategies, wellness, and effective disease management
- Prescribing medications and therapeutic interventions within your scope of practice
- Engaging in patient follow-ups and managing chronic care pathways
- Collaborating with interdisciplinary teams to deliver comprehensive, holistic patient care
- Accurately documenting care within electronic medical records (EMR)
- Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) or a Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP)
- Completion of an accredited Nurse Practitioner training program
- Current Nurse Practitioner licensure in North Carolina
- National certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP-C, AANP or ANCC) or a suitable equivalent
- Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications (with the ability to acquire these within 90 days)
- Strong clinical skills complemented by an empathetic bedside approach
- Exceptional communication abilities with patients, families, and healthcare teams
- Ability to adapt in fast-paced, patient-centric settings
- Familiarity with EMR systems and confidence with telehealth technologies
