Raw Materials Operations Supervisor

Job Title Job Description Primary Objective Coordinate the material inventory, charge make ups and supplies inventory to ensure the requirements of the melt schedule and efficient usage of materials. Basic Function Supervise and coordinate the activities and personnel associated with the charge make up and processing of air melt and remelted products. Responsibilities Make up least cost charges for heats utilizing computer modeling. Direct efforts of the Scrap Yard employees. Responsible for receipt of raw materials both quality and quantity. Order raw materials necessary to meet production requirements. Manage Raw Material Inventory and balance inventory with Melt Shop Accountant. Monitor performance of operating supplies and inventory. Assist in the development, establishment, and monitoring of Safety Rules and Regulations. Supervisory Responsibilities Direct efforts of Scrap Yard hourly personnel Skills Strong Interpersonal skills Organizational skills Computer literate Problem-Solving ability Experience/Education 1-5 years experience BS in an Engineering discipline Materials/Science/Metallurgy degree desirable Position Reports To: Melt Shop Manager Universal Stainless
