Schedule: PRN

Shift: Day-Weekend (United States of America)

Job Description:

• Performs CT and MRI imaging procedures.
• Assists Radiologists in special procedures such as biopsies.
• Maintains records of examinations performed.
• Obtains and documents patient clinical history.
• Positions patients and equipment to produce accurate images.
• Administers contrast material for CT and MRI procedures.
• Monitors patient condition and ensures patient safety and privacy.
• Performs basic patient care within the scope of practice.
• Participates in standby call and is available within 30 minutes of notification.
• Performs equipment quality control and calibrations.
• Coordinates equipment service and preventative maintenance.
• Trains new employees and assesses technologist competence.
• Assists in routine department clerical needs.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

• Patient care and communication skills to deal with patients from infant, childhood, adolescent, adult and geriatric age groups [Required]
• Must be able to use computer system for data entry and retrieval [Required]
• Basic clerical skills, record keeping, documentation, transfer of images to disk or film and excellent customer service skills [Required]

Education:

• Technical/Vocational School [Required]

Field of Study:

• Must be a graduate of an approved A.R.R.T. program with current A.R.R.T registration and state license in Radiography.

Work Experience:

• 2+ CT/MR experience [Required]

Licenses and Certifications:

• Registered Technologist Magnetic Resonance Imaging RT(MR)ARRT) [Required] OR American Registry of Magnetic Resonance Imaging Technologists (ARMRIT) [Required]
• Basic Life Support CPR Cert (BLS) [Required]

Pay Range: $15.00 $130.00
