Location: Carlsbad, CA (5 days per week onsite)

Duration: 12 month contract to hire

Project: Manual testing for software. Software and hardware interaction.

Compensation: $30-40/hour

Required Skills & Experience

• 2+ years of experience in software quality assurance, software testing, systems testing, or a closely related technical role.

• Hands-on experience testing both software and physical hardware/equipment

• Strong manual testing experience, including executing test cases/test plans and documenting test results and defects.

• Strong troubleshooting and debugging skills with the ability to reproduce issues, validate fixes, isolate problems, and communicate findings to software developers.

• Bachelor's degree in a STEM-related field

Job Description

Our client, a global manufacturer of industrial technology and automated equipment, is seeking a Software Quality Assurance Engineer I to support the testing and validation of software used to control robotic and electromechanical systems. This is a highly hands-on QA role combining software and hardware testing, with approximately 75% of the work performed directly on physical equipment.
